Hammers summer transfer kitty could reach £111m

David Moyes could have nearly £111m available in his summer transfer kitty if he offloads six players.

Earlier this week Claret and Hugh suggested Michail Antonio, Arthur Masuaku and Issa Diop could be sold in addition to Manual Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson.

Accurate valuations can be difficult at the best of times but often website transfer market undervalue players.

The current market value as per www.transfermarkt.com of the potential outbound sales adds up to £60.75m broken down as Issa Diop £16.2m Felipe Anderson £13.5m Michail Antonio £10.8m Manual Lanzini £9m Arthur Masuaku £6.75m Andriy Yarmolenko £4.5m.

Hammers manager David Moyes has been promised all proceeds from outbound sales meaning together with a £50m summer transfer kitty that could total up to £110.75m if those valuations could be realised.

West Ham stars Declan Rice and Tomas Socuek will be off-limits with West Ham rejecting any approaches over the summer.

Portugal journalist Pedro Almeida claims that West Ham will make an initial offer of€28 million (£24m) to Blackburn for striker Adam Armstrong saying that talks are ongoing.

Armstrong scored a second hat-trick of the season in the 5-2 win over Huddersfield Town and now has 25 goals this season for the Championship club.

The 24-year-old will move into the final year of his deal this summer, which unless he extends that beyond 2022, means the upcoming window offers Rovers’ best chance of recouping a big fee for the striker.

Asked if Rovers still held hopes of holding onto Armstrong, Blackburn manager Mowbray told the Lancashire Telegraph: “Let’s wait and see. Footballers are always in charge of their contractual situation, they sign the deals or they don’t.

Rovers’ top scorer signed for the club from boyhood side Newcastle United in 2018 for around £1.75m, taking a pay cut in the process when penning a four-year deal.

Caught Offside

West Ham open talks with exciting striker who has 29 goals already this season

It’s always fun to watch a player rise through the divisions, but it appears that Ivan Toney hasn’t found a level that’s beyond him yet.

He had a couple of outstanding seasons with Peterborough as he scored 49 goals in two seasons, but his figures have actually improved this season after the step up with Brentford as he’s scored 29 goals and assisted 10 more.

That proves he’s an all-round striker who has more than just goals to his game, and it should be exciting for West Ham fans to hear a report from Goal which has indicated that talks have been opened about signing him this summer.

The report does claim that there is other interest so it makes sense to try and get this over the line as soon as possible, but Brentford will fancy their chances of going up in the playoffs so it’s possible that they’ll look to wait until the end of the season before approving anything.

Toney is still only 25 and he’s a player who’s still improving and he’s on an upwards trajectory so he looks like an excellent prospect for any Premier League club, and he could help take this West Ham team to the next level if they can complete his signing.
